With my experience in leadership, management, and operations, I am confident that my skills will significantly benefit the Virginia Beach Public School System.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Team Coordinator, Training and Development | Sentara Health Plans, November, 23 - present

  • Created and implemented a comprehensive training and onboarding solution tailored for new sales professionals, enhancing their integration and performance from day one.

  • Oversaw the management of ongoing professional development and growth opportunities, ensuring continuous skill enhancement and career progression for all team members.

  • Developed customized learning materials and resources, including e-learning modules, manuals, and interactive exercises, to support diverse learning styles and maximize knowledge retention.

 

Assistant Vice President of Community and Alumni Engagement | Southern New Hampshire University March, 21 – August, 23

  • Developed a comprehensive community and content engagement strategy for LinkedIn that resulted in our LinkedIn Business page growing from #9 to #3 among our competitors using targeted communications, strategic posting, and hosting bi-weekly live streams with employer partners and subject matter experts. 

  • Led internal community building efforts for 120+ remote staff and students that included hosting bi-weekly virtual events, recruiting an internal team of volunteers to host events, and four virtual holiday parties a year that maintained 95% net positive satisfaction from Staff. 

  • Devised all essentials of alumni engagement program strategy to 3k+ alums across 40 states that include monthly communications,  creating mentorship opportunities, virtual and in-person events,  and worked with 400+ employer partner network to cultivate mid-level career development. 

  • Worked directly with the Admissions team and designed and implemented predictive analytics models and intervention strategies that decreased student churn from pre-start to start deal stages and had >95% satisfaction rate with learner onboarding materials.  

  • Designed student onboarding curriculum and communication strategy to prepare adult learners for their educational journey at Kenzie Academy that saw 97% completion rate. 

  • Consulted Career Advising team to scale and eliminated 1000+ hours of administrative and manual work through developing drip campaigns, playbooks, and automated data processes and repurposed their entire CRM and data structure to effectively work with their caseload. 

 

Vice President Student Services  | Kenzie Academy January 2019 – March 2021 

  • Worked as a senior leader at a blitz-scaling tech vocational/corporate training company from post-seed to acquisition by Southern New Hampshire University which helped lead growth from 15 to 120 employees and 30 to over 5,000 enrollments.

  • Designed and oversaw scalable processes and staffing for program development that includes graduation, student orientation, disability services, operations, online learning, student success, and student conduct 

  • Served as chief spokesperson to the student population and built online student culture that led to consistent > 50 NPS in both B2C and B2B environments among diverse learners

  • Led multiple software implementations that include Zoom, Airtable, Justcall, Hubspot all of that has allowed our company to deliver a high-quality online education to students across 40+ states while scaling. 

 

Director of Spirituality, Service, and Social Justice Programs and Assessment | DePauw University July, 2013-July, 2018

Organized department-wide data collection and communicated results to multiple university stakeholders across the university using Tableau, SPSS, Excel, and Gretl. 

  • Served as the primary advisor for a First-Year Civic Leadership program, Civic Engagement Speakers Series, Senior Civic Engagement Award, and Civic Interns including developing a curriculum for training and development that reached over 300+ individuals 

  • Worked with faculty on course development for service learning that included designing learning outcomes, connecting faculty to community partners, and recruiting students for the course. 

  • Oversaw all internal and external communications of nine professional staff in Hartman House including the graphic design and assessment metrics for Social Media, E-Newsletter, and Social Media Advertising for both internal and external audiences. 

  • Developed curriculum and taught one,  for-credit course on Social Justice Leadership that utilizes Social Change Model and identity-based frameworks 

 

Residence Life and Americorps Civic Education Coordinator |Carson Newman University November 2011-July 2013

  • Managed a male residence hall of 400 students, RA staff of 17, and six student desk workers 

  • Settled minor judicial cases and mediated student conflicts 

  • Created a cloud-based system to store forms, room condition reports, housing applications, and other forms paper-based forms reducing paper usage by over 70%. 

  • Managed BOOST after-school and summer reading programs at Jefferson City Housing Authority for 40+ economically disadvantaged K-8th youth 

 

National Bonner Fellowship |Bonner Foundation         August 2015- August 2017

  • Paid fellowship in which developed online curriculum, training materials workshops, and hosted webinars for 75+ partner institutions/stakeholders utilized by the entire network of 6,000 first-generation college students 

  •  Serve as key civic advisor to Campus-Wide Engagement Initiative by the Bonner Foundation to 16 universities. 

 

ESL Instructor | Shanghai, China August 2004-July 2007

  • Organized daily lesson plans to meet English literacy needs for ESL classrooms 60+ students

  • Worked with multicultural, multi-language staff in K-12 educational environments. 

  • Built rapport with students and families through weekly emails and bimonthly parent-teacher conferences. 

  • Demonstrated intermediate fluency in Mandarin
